Can anyone help with kitchen theme design?
I have a lot of Coca-Cola kitchen ware and have always wanted to have a 1950’s style kitchen. I am moving into a house where I can make this work. The cabinets are a dark wood that I am considering painting, things are edged in chrome, and the back wall of the kitchen is a shiny material that is about the color of lime sherbet. This wall is visible from the living room and I’m not sure that painting this wall is even an option since it is slick and shiny. I’d like to keep the color, but how can I tie it in with red, black and white dishes?

Maybe you can hang some like older 50’s pictures onw the walls of like coke. or things like this:http://www.bustedknucklegarage.com/catalog/bkg1024400.jpg
You can also have those color dish rags of that color. The sherbert colour would be a very cool with these other colors. If you are willing to re-do the counter tops, you could put in some black granite maybe? That be cool. You could also re-do the floor to the black and white tiles. If that is out of the question, put down some cool rubs.
If you are going to put in a table, get one like they would have at the old 50’s diners. Like this with some cool chairs: 50’s diner table
It will be easy to incoprate your lime sherbert wall. Since that is a good color.l Just have a bit of determantion, and you can do it. (: God, I sound like a teaher, anyways, good luck! I hoped I helped a little bit.

There are many things you can do ,it depends on how themey you want to go.The lime green is another big color of the 50’s,but if you want to lose it then just sand off the gloss and repaint your color. There are coke curtains out there that have a green in them that might tie the colored wall in.And for your backsplash you can use white, red, green, with a black border in tile.if the flooring needs replaced you can do the same to the floor( 50’s are known for the checker board floors. You can even look at green marble or granite for your counters to tie the wall in.Good Luck.
