Your wall cabinets will need 2 2x4's as stated which are 3". Attach two 2x4's into the studs at your kitchens location of the top of your wall cabinet and the bottom of your wall cabinet. You will have attached 4 - 2 x 4s plus vertical 2x4's at the edge of your wall cabinet if one end is exposed where people can see it.

If one end of your cabinet end panels is seen - you will need a filler strip or a large piece of decorative trim molding to cover the 2 x 4's where your cabinet meets into your kitchen's wall. You may wish to add vertical 2 x4's at this location for a solid backer to fasten your filler or cabinet molding to..

Wishing You the Best!
